Happy Birthday Dutch - 54 years ago your picture in DM Register working on finishing up Building Trades house on Avenue I - Your teacher Gary Grohe stopped in and we had that issue in archives at museum - see you are still young your teachers still around.

Yep just another day at museum, just gave a tour to a couple from England and I enjoy very much sharing our areas history, my fellow docent taking 5 or 6 from Cedar Rapids and in my spare time we putting the FORT MADISON sign back on east end of depot that been missing since ATSF bailed out in 1968. May be done by tomorrow thanks to more volunteers. To all that sent birthday greeting and other have a MERRY CHRISTMAS and healthy happy 2015. Most of the rest of you will reach 72 this year! If in area come down and visit - down about 125 visitors from this time last year.

Hope you had a happy birthday see you at City Council Tuesday and glad you still working for a living - but you get paid & probably get weekends off - retire, volunteer and get to work 7 days a week there is that opportunity

Thanks for stopping by the NLCHS museum yesterday - did not have time for a tour but enjoyed talking old times with you - yes the old home place on Peavine Lane did burn down and Kevin Bates did build on that lot. Hope you have a safe trip to Florida and back to California.
