Shirley and I knew each other during grade school. We both went together to Davenport to have our braces put on and checked often. We used to walk to school together and stay all night at each of our houses. After I moved out of town, we lost contact with each other. I would see and talk with her at times at the mall after I moved to Burlington. I was surprised to hear of her passing. May she rest in peace.
