The above photos of me were taken tonight at FMHS as I was inducted in the Hall of Honor at FMHS! I was completely overwhelmed and humbled by the honor bestowed on me! There was one other honoree from Indianapolis but he declined to give a speech. I was so thrilled that there were classmates from our class also in attendance and by name they are Georgia and Ed Merschman, Nan Hays, David Neubel, Jack and Jan Moore and Sally Trancoso! I so appreciated them coming tonight! My husband Moudy was there and my son Todd flew in from Alabama and media was there and quite a number of other friends were there also tonight! It was quite a wonderful evening!

Hey everyone.

I'd update my profile but the only thing to report is that I'm still here.   I'm truly sorry that I can't make it back to this next reunion but do want to let know that I am planing on attending the 2031 and the 2041 reunions, and looking forward to seeing you there.

It's late and I'm tired so I posted our luncheon today without names because most of you know who they are! One exception sitting next to John Kent is his friend Mary who is from Donnellson!

Talk about a small world!  Last Sunday I saw Bob and Karen Brannon sitting 3 rows in front of me in church.I think I've convinced them to come to the reunion. I told him if he didn't I would harass them every Sunday tell they agree. Anyway this Sunday they said they're coming. Guess he didn't want me bugging him. 😂😂
> so we have 2 FMHS Class of '61 people both living in Texas, one in Colleyville and one in Denton ,  going to the same Methodist church in Southlake, Texas. We were both quite surprised , in a good way.

Darla, That's wonderful and shows you what a small world we live in !  By the way, you do have that certain "power of persuasion" !!!

See you soon - we are flying into Cedar Rapids Friday morning and driving down to FM.....flying back Monday.  We're spending Sunday with Bill's sister, Jean.  She broke a hip over the weekend and having surgery as I write this.  Also had stents put in her heart in late May after a massive heart attack - not doing well at all.

Sandy: So sorry to hear of Jean's broken hip and I'm so sorry she is having such a hard time since she moved into the Birkwood. Moudy and I went to see her shortly after she moved in and she looked wonderful and very happy. I will try to go out and see her too. Safe travels to FM.

Class of FMHS 1961 63rd Class Reunion 9/28/24

A wonderful time was had by all and Jack Moore, John Frey, and Gary McVey were unable to attend due to illness and we hope they have a speedy recovery. We are sorry more of you did not attend because we had a wonderful time and the weather was perfect. Some classmates are talking about having a 65th reunion in 2026 but we will see when the time gets here. Stay safe and healthy as you possibly can at our age. It was my pleasure to host this group for our 63rd reunion.

Bill and I were scheduled to also attend the reunion - but Hurricane Helene had other plans. We were at the Airport in Raleigh at 4 AM Friday for a 6 AM flight to Charlotte connecting to the flight to Cedar Rapids and a rental car on down to FM. The Charlotte airport had closed just hours before because of power loss and driving rains and wind.  It was just too "iffy" to try a flight later, depending WHEN the airport MIGHT open that night. We are so sad to have missed seeing everyone- I'm sure it was a great event at Sharon's home that morning and the dinner at the new Restaurant at the Marina.  Pray for the people of Western NC - there are still hundreds not accounted for in the massive flooding around Asheville.
