I remember attending home football games during the fall of 1961, but I don't remember the excitement of beating Mt. Pleasant on the road.  Or that the Bloodhounds went undefeated and won the league!

Jim Harris who graduated from FMHS 4 years after us sent me 2 newspaper clipping from November 4, 1961.  How do I paste them into the message forum?

Marcia Conley (Davis)

Thanks to everyone who wished me a Happy Birthday.  Weird birthday. For at least the past 50  plus years, It coincides with the April 15 Tax Filing Deadline.  Since the deadline has been pushed to July 15, there was no celebration.  Now I need to regroup and get ready for July 15!  Maybe then I can have a delayed birthday.  I hadn't planned to work as much this year since my health has greatly improved and I am able to travel again.  But there is nowhere to go!

I hope by the July 15 deadline, things will be opened up enough to once again travel.  It has been almost 4 years since I last went to Hawai and I need my Hawaiian fix.

Hoping everyone is healthy and safe and that we will see one another in September 2021 for the 60th Reunion.

Martha Waters (Krueger)

I finally got back into this site. I've not been able to get on 4 a long time even though I would try for new passwords so finally I emailed Sharon and she was able to help me and get a new password. I remember Mike. It sounds like he had a fulfilling life. That is good. God bless his family and comfort them.

Even though my life and volunteering slowed way down since the fear and flu came into the picture I am glad I live out in the country so that I can walk two miles everyday on the gravel road. And I don't mind having people come visit me on the porch or visit them on their porch. The county I live in has had 10 cases, all recuperated, praise God.

I keep check on Lee county and it also has been quite low. I feel sorry for the people that live in large or medium large cities. This is a new experience for all of us and makes the future seem not as secure as it once was feeling but that is okay because then we learn to think differently and about life and about death more seriously.

After watching one news cast the second day after things closed down everywhere, I decided not to watch any more news because the fear the news people were throwing out of the television set was tremendous. I think I know why they have to be so negative.  It sells more commercials and watchers but it sure isn't good for people's mental stability.  Martha

Patsy Cordray (VanPelt)

My heart is heavy learning of the passing of Mike!  Moving to FM in 6th grade we were family friends living on Ave. M, same as Mike!  In the past few years we've been messaging and reminiscing about the good fun times!  You'll be missed but have left a wonderful legacy with so many people, teaching, coaching, and caring about everyone. Peace be with you Mike.

Susie Peacock (Vacilek)

I would like to take Brad advice. I want to say hello and stay safe to all the class mates from 1961 class and your families. We have memories that go way back and I will not forget the friendships that continued after 1961. Bless you all at this uncertain time of our lives.
